I started my first business at 19, delivering IT projects for businesses across the UK. Like most entrepreneurs I learned some lessons the hard way — the biggest being the need for recurring, repeatable revenue. Without it, that first business closed within a few years.
I moved to Dublin to work for a tech company, and after four years realised I wanted to build something of my own again. Back in the UK, I founded Mirus, an IT services business that grew to over 100 employees and £12 million in revenue, winning a number of awards along the way. I’m incredibly proud of what we built.
I exited in 2019. Since then I’ve worked as a consultant and mentor to UK MSPs — helping owners grow, get organised and plan their next move, whether that’s acquisition or exit. All told, I’ve spent 30 years in the IT industry.
